Milton Santos was an Afro-Brazilian of incredible intellectual proportions. Professor of geography, philosopher, thinker, writer of over 40 books and some 300 scientific articles, Milton Santos taught in Brazil, France, the USA, and Tanzania and became known and respected around the world for the sharpness of his intellectual exploration of the world around us.
