ADIFF Chicago

The African Diaspora International Film Festival’s (ADIFF) Chicago edition is an annual celebration of cinema from Africa and the African Diaspora, bringing diverse international stories and perspectives to audiences in Chicago. Established in 2003, the Chicago edition has provided a platform for filmmakers whose work explores the histories, cultures, identities, and contemporary experiences of African and Diaspora communities around the world.

Presented in partnership with Facets Chicago, the program connects audiences with a thoughtfully curated selection of films while creating opportunities for cultural exchange, dialogue, and engagement with the filmmakers and communities represented on screen. Through its longstanding presence in Chicago, ADIFF continues its mission of using cinema to broaden perspectives and celebrate the richness and diversity of the African Diaspora.
