school program

The African Diaspora International Film Festival’s (ADIFF) School Program is an annual part of the festival that introduces students to films and stories from Africa and the African Diaspora. Each year, ADIFF invites schools from across the New York metropolitan Tri-State Area to participate in specially curated screenings designed to complement classroom learning and encourage students to engage with diverse cultures, histories, identities, and global perspectives. Through the shared experience of cinema, the program creates opportunities for young audiences to encounter stories that may be outside their everyday experiences while encouraging discussion, critical thinking, and cultural understanding. The School Program reflects ADIFF’s commitment to using film as an educational tool and to fostering the next generation of engaged and culturally aware audiences.
