BEST OF ADIFF

The Best of ADIFF is an annual film showcase presented each January, following the African Diaspora International Film Festival’s flagship New York edition the previous month. Presented in collaboration with Teachers College, Columbia University’s Office of Community Affairs, the series offers audiences an opportunity to watch a curated selection of the year’s standout films from ADIFF New York, bringing together acclaimed and audience-favorite works that celebrate the diversity of stories, cultures, and perspectives represented throughout the festival. The program also features the festival’s “Best Film Directed by a Woman of Color” selection, highlighting the work of women filmmakers of color within the broader ADIFF program.

By revisiting highlights from the festival’s annual program, The Best of ADIFF extends the reach of these films and provides audiences with another opportunity to engage with compelling international cinema and the voices behind it, while fostering dialogue and cultural exchange within the Teachers College community.
