AFRICAN DIASPORA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL D.C

The African Diaspora International Film Festival’s (ADIFF) D.C. edition is an annual celebration of cinema from Africa and the African Diaspora, bringing together filmmakers, audiences, educators, students, and cultural communities in Washington, D.C. Established in 2006 and presented in partnership with Africa World Now, the festival is held each year in mid-August at George Washington University and showcases a diverse selection of films that explore the histories, cultures, identities, and contemporary experiences of African and Diaspora communities around the world.

The D.C. edition provides a platform for independent and international filmmakers while creating opportunities for audiences to engage with stories and perspectives that are often underrepresented in mainstream cinema.
